Root DNS is the key of the name resolution process in the Internet.It is not trivial to introduce a new technology to the Root DNS as it could affect the production Internet significantly when a modification may not work well. In order to evaluate a new technology, it is suggested to evaluate a real but not production environment. Yeti DNS is a project to run a “testbed” of a Root DNS system.
